This is a beautiful lakeside home a very short drive from the Charlotte Douglas Airport and downtown Charlotte. The proprietor (Melanie) was wonderful to work with. She exemplified southern hospitality to me and my group of friends from the Midwest.
The home is very elegantly decorated and quite comfortable. There was lake access and a canoe and paddle boat at our disposal. One room had a built in projector and we enjoyed a movie projected onto the wall with surround sound.
We had some issues with the air conditioning but when we phoned Melanie, she sent out a technician the same day and the issue was resolved and we were nice and cool again. Great customer service!
The web site has photos of the house but you really have to see it for yourself to appreciate how nice it is. It's tucked away on a back road but amazingly came right up on our GPS.
If you are planning a stay in the Charlotte area, you can stay here for a very reasonable rate. You won't regret your choice.Reviews
Villa Escape, October 29, 2008 By Ricky Highlnd (Raleigh, NC)The Villa on Lake Wylie is an excellent vacation spot to get away from the city, work, or just relax. The house is amazing and it is enhanced by the decor. Melanie was a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure our stay was pleasant. My only regret is that I can't keep this little treasure to myself.
